The Time Has Come For Gold & Silver Stackers - Jim Willie
The Time Has Come For Gold & Silver Stackers – Jim Willie
Jim Willie says gold and silver get knocked down first, and that the real move only starts when the word monetization reaches the front page. Recorded on 23 October 2026 with Bri Teresi, this is Dr. Jim Willie of the Hat Trick Letter on the part of the story that matters to metals holders: a Treasury bond market with a shortage of buyers, foreign central banks selling paper and buying bullion, a liquidity squeeze that pushes gold and silver down for a month or two, and the debt monetization he expects to lift them afterwards. He repeats his forecast of gold at $5,500 and silver at $100 by June 2027, explains why he believes China holds ten times the gold it reports, and why Fort Knox has never been audited. On silver he goes further than most: Shanghai, he argues, has allowed New York and London to set a sub-$60 price and is not happy about it, the exchange for physical has been pulled, and electric cars, solar, military stockpiling and industrial stockpiling are all pulling on the same thin supply. He also prices the mercury-into-gold story at ten to fifty thousand dollars an ounce, and puts the ten-year Treasury yield at six percent by the end of February. After the interview we add our own evaluation: which of his claims hold up against the tape, which ones have already missed, and where his sourcing gets thin.
