NorAI Brings Quran Lessons, Recitation Practice and Islamic Learning into One App

NorAI, a Quran and Islamic learning app developed by UK-registered Karsaaz EBS Ltd, provides Quran lessons, recitation practice and Islamic educational resources through a single mobile application.

The app is available on Android and iOS and is designed for people who want to study the Quran, become familiar with Arabic vocabulary and learn about Islamic beliefs and everyday religious practices. It includes a structured curriculum, interactive exercises and resources for both independent and family learning.

Learning the Quran step by step

NorAI follows a 20-level Quran learning curriculum divided into four stages: Foundation, Understanding, Practice and Completion.

The lessons begin with Arabic letters, sounds and Harakat. Learners then move into Quranic vocabulary, word meanings and activities that help them recognise familiar words in Quranic verses.

The curriculum progressively introduces more than 2,000 Quranic words. Instead of presenting vocabulary through a single activity, NorAI uses six different practice methods: Visual Learning, Articulation Practice, Audio Practice, Writing Practice, Match Quiz and Word Joining.

For example, learners may encounter a word through an image, listen to its pronunciation and then practise recognising or writing it. Matching exercises offer another opportunity to review what has been studied. Word Joining, introduced at Level 16, provides practice connecting words.

Lessons follow a defined sequence, while progress tracking helps users see what they have completed and return to earlier activities.

Recitation practice with Nazra Coach

Alongside its Quran learning curriculum, NorAI includes Nazra Coach, an AI-assisted recitation practice feature currently available in beta.

The feature covers all 114 Surahs. A learner can listen to an Ayah, recite it aloud and receive feedback indicating which words may need another attempt.

Nazra Coach uses an on-device recognition model after the required download. Raw recitation recordings are not stored on NorAI servers.

The feature is intended for additional recitation practice and does not replace Tajweed instruction with a qualified teacher.

Islamic knowledge alongside Quran learning

NorAI also includes educational resources on topics that learners may want to study alongside their Quran lessons.

These include the 99 Names of Allah, 40 Daily Duas, Salah, Wudu, Ghusl, Fasting, Zakat, Hajj and Umrah, Islamic Beliefs and the Six Kalimahs.

The app also provides Al-Quran reading and a Quran Glossary, allowing users to access Quranic text and explore vocabulary within the same application.

According to the platform’s content process, Quranic vocabulary and meanings undergo scholarly review before publication. AI is used for recitation feedback rather than generating Quranic translations, meanings or religious rulings.

Access for individual learners and families

NorAI supports adults who prefer to study independently and families managing learning for younger users.

Parents can manage supported learner profiles and review progress. Selected lesson packs and audio downloads can also be used offline, although some features still require an internet connection.

The application does not display learner-facing advertisements, and minor learner profiles cannot access pricing or billing management screens.

Free introductory access is available, while individual and family subscription plans provide additional learning features.

NorAI is available for Android through the Google Play Store and for iOS through the Apple App Store.
