WICHITA, KS – Congressman Todd Tiahrt (KS-04) today announced his endorsement of businessman and military veteran Mike Pompeo at the Kansas Aviation Museum in Wichita.

“I have spent nearly 16 years in Congress fighting to keep the Kansas aviation industry strong in the 4th District and Mike Pompeo will continue that battle,” Tiahrt said. “Mike knows the importance of the aviation industry because he’s lived it and he knows what it will take to create jobs in Kansas. He will continue the fight to ensure an American company builds the next air refueling tanker for our Air Force. Mike has the experience to bring a true change to Washington, D.C. and I’m honored to join him on the campaign trail.”

Congressman Tiahrt and Mike Pompeo are in the middle of a three day tour across the 4^th District of Kansas to talk about the importance of jobs, the economy and health care.

“Congressman Tiahrt has been a fighter for Kansas jobs and the aviation industry during his time in Washington, and I’m proud to have his support,” Pompeo said. “I am eager to continue Todd’s fight to make sure the new Air Force tanker is built by Boeing and by the most qualified aviation workforce in the world, right here in Kansas.”

“Obamacare and increased government regulation have created massive uncertainty for businesses – driving up operating costs and making it impossible for growth in the private sector,” Pompeo continued. “I will work to create an economic environment that will encourage companies to grow and create jobs here in the 4th District.”
