Former Senator Nancy Kassebaum Baker Endorses Pompeo

WICHITA, KS – Former U.S. Senator Nancy Kassebaum Baker today announced her endorsement of businessman and military veteran Mike Pompeo in the 4th District Congressional race.

“What is needed today in our political arena is not 60 second sound bites, but thoughtful and dedicated leadership. An Us vs. Them mentality is not a solution,” Kassebaum Baker said. “I believe Mike Pompeo has the background to bridge differences. I don’t agree with all of his positions but I do believe he has the ability to be a part of governance necessary for meeting the challenges ahead.”

Senator Kassebaum served as a U.S. Senator from Kansas from 1978 to 1997.

“I am honored to have Senator Kassebaum Baker’s endorsement,” Pompeo said. “She is absolutely right that the next Congressman from the 4th District will face unique challenges, and I look forward to working with new House leadership to promote smaller government, less regulation and lower taxes.”
