• Rubio appeared at Capt’n Fishbones Seafood Grill at the Shell Factory with former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani. They were greeted with a standing ovation by at least 500 attendees. Giuliani set the tone by expressing disappointment with the direction of the country. “Wow, we’re in trouble,” he said. “This is the first time in my life … that I’m really worried about my country.” Rubio also railed against the Obama administration’s economic policies and the recently passed health care legislation. “Everything they have done in Washington has made it harder to start a business out of your spare bedroom,” he said. From defense to the national debt, Rubio said he will stand up to to the Democratic agenda and offer a clear plan to maintain America’s legacy as the “greatest nation in human history.” Rubio was joined by Rudy Giuliani, former New York City mayor and 2008 GOP presidential primary contender, at the morning rally in Island Park at the Sarasota bayfront. Republican Marco Rubio made his second trip to Southwest Florida in two weeks, but this time he brought along some star power. Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani joined Rubio at the Shell Factory in North Fort Myers, making the final push for votes as Election Day nears. Speaking to a packed house, Giuliani said, “Frankly he’s the only one that’s running that stands up for the principles of smaller government, lower taxes, doing away with this health care law that’s a disaster – both of his opponents are on the other side.” – WBBH News
