NRA-PVF Endorses Mick Mulvaney for U.S. House of Representatives in South Carolina’s 5th Congressional District

Fairfax, Va. — The National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) is endorsing Mick Mulvaney for election to the U.S. House of Representatives in South Carolina’s 5th Congressional District.

“Mick Mulvaney has earned the NRA-PVF endorsement for his solid pro-gun record,” said Chris W. Cox, chairman of the NRA-PVF. “His commitment to preserving our Second Amendment rights and hunting heritage makes Mick Mulvaney the obvious choice for South Carolina gun owners in this race.”

“The Second Amendment recognizes an inalienable right to bear arms that we take very seriously in South Carolina,” said Mulvaney. “The NRA has been a tireless defender of that right, and I am proud to count them as a supporter in my campaign to restore the 5th District’s voice in Congress.”

Mulvaney has demonstrated his commitment to our Second Amendment rights by supporting the inclusion of the right to hunt and fish constitutional amendment on the South Carolina ballot and a measure to allow right-to-carry permit holders to transport and store firearms in a vehicle while parked on school property. Additionally, he voted for right-to-carry reciprocity reform and to lower the state restriction on acquiring a handgun from age 21 to 18.

Mick Mulvaney’s strong support for our right to keep and bear arms has earned him an “A” rating and the endorsement of the NRA-PVF.

“On November 2, I urge all South Carolina NRA Members and gun owners in the 5th District to vote Mick Mulvaney for Congress,” Cox concluded.
