As part of our effort to make the 2012 Republican National Convention the most open and accessible ever, I hope you’ll look at a new video feature we call Convention Insider.
Each week Convention Insider will explore a different aspect of what it takes to put together a national political convention – and give you a preview of what you can expect when you arrive here in Tampa Bay. You’ll meet some of the people involved and watch our progress in transforming the Tampa Bay Times Forum. You’ll also be able to learn how the Tampa International Airport plans to accommodate the large influx of convention visitors. You can watch our first five episodes here.
As you’ll see in Convention Insider, preparations are right on track. On July 16, we were joined by Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus when the convention officially moved into the Tampa Bay Times Forum, and in the few days that we’ve been in the arena, our progress has been remarkable. Already, the stage where Governor Romney and his running mate will make history is taking shape!
I know that you’re eagerly anticipating your important mission in Tampa August 27-30, and I look forward to seeing you as, together, we usher in a new era for our country with the election of Governor Mitt Romney as president.
