Elections Can't Solve This Problem: "Obama Is A Problem, But He Is Not The Problem!"

I agree that obama (and I don’t capitalize his name for the same reason I don’t capitalize satan’s name) is not the problem. He is but a tare sown into the American field. For the last many decades — probably more than the 70 that I’ve observed — America plowed and cultivated the field, watered it, fertilized it, and then planted a sign into it begging the enemy to sow tares into it. The enemy happily obliged.

Consider these:

We discredit the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament. We went from criticism (text, form, source, historical, narrative, etc. are valid academic tools) to critique of Scripture’s content AND ITS ULTIMATE AUTHOR. We made the Scriptures into something that must serve our desires, rather than using the Scriptures to guide us in serving our God.

We have destroyed the family as one of the foundational strengths of our nation. Divorce among Christians is at least as high as among the rest of the nation.

We have accepted the lie that separation of church and state is in our Constitution. It’s in several versions of the Soviet constitutions, but not in ours. (It’s a different issue to debate whether the principle is one we can legitimately DERIVE from the Constitution, but it’s a FACT that the principle is not IN the Constitution.)

We wring our hands at the abusive and godless education handed out by our public schools, saying “Ain’t it awful”. Yet where are we when the school boards and the state boards of education hold their policy and planning meetings ahead of the coming school years?

We accept court rulings from corrupt little bench rodents, while refusing to avail ourselves of the opportunities to demand investigation by the state departments of judicial misconduct. Each state has some sort of investigatory and review body, by which judges can be held accountable.

We don’t stand up to be counted when speakers, authors, and even pulpiteers spout heresy — or blasphemy — saying there are multiple ways to God. This is the same as pointing to the wounds of Jesus and saying “You fool, you didn’t have to do this.”

We watch television programs that increasingly glorify sex outside of marriage. These programs are now increasingly presenting homosexual lifestyles as good and acceptable for our culture. We don’t ask ourselves “Would Jesus watch this program with you?” We feed these by patronizing advertisers.

We do the same thing with movies. We feed these by patronizing advertisers and by purchasing tickets.

We ridicule those who speak up about coming events and relate them to God’s withdrawal of divine favor. We ridicule those who relate current events to Bible prophecy or even the consequences of ignoring God’s will for our lives. And when we compare our events to those of ancient Israel, we lament “Why didn’t anyone warn that this was happening?” After we’ve forced today’s prophets into silence, we might consider begging God to open their mouths again.

We get hung up over inclusive language about God (replacing He, Him, Himself with God, God, Godself). This is because we talk ABOUT God more than we talk TO God.

We even deny that there is a devil, making it easy for satan (assuming there even IS one) to work in our lives.

All this is just opinion. Remember, we all have them and we base them on observation
