“We congratulate Judge Moore on his hard-fought victory tonight. He won because he respected the grassroots and never wavered in his support for conservative principles.

“Now it’s time for Republicans to come together and help Roy Moore defeat liberal Doug Jones in the general election in December. Doug Jones supports Obamacare, amnesty, federally-controlled education, job-killing climate regulations, and taxpayer-funding for abortion. He’s too liberal for Alabama and he must be defeated.

“Judge Roy Moore’s nomination is a major victory for the conservative grassroots and a devastating defeat for Mitch McConnell and the Republican establishment in Washington. Republican voters in Alabama saw this election as an opportunity to rebuke Mitch McConnell for his failure to keep his promises and for spending nearly $10 million to elect another pro-establishment Republican.

“Luther Strange thought he was buying a ticket on a first class cruise ship when he associated himself with Mitch McConnell, but it ended up being a ticket on the Titanic.

“Senate Republicans are going to face some very difficult primary challenges in the years to come if they don’t move quickly to replace Mitch McConnell as their leader and take immediate steps to keep their promises to repeal Obamacare, pass tax reform, build the wall, and defund Planned Parenthood. They brought this on themselves and they have the power to fix it, but they must take real steps to show the grassroots that they’re listening.”
