New Skyharbour Resources Ltd. partner Purecore Metals Inc. details a busy three months. Find out why some analysts like Skyharbour’s prospect-generator business model.

Purecore Metals Inc. (PURE:CSE; PPURF:OTCQB) has moved quickly since its common shares began trading on the Canadian Securities Exchange on May 15 — most notably by forging a new partnership with Skyharbour Resources Ltd. (SYH:TSX.V; SYHBF:OTCQX; SC1P:FSE), an established Athabasca Basin project generator. In an August 26 release, the company detailed 10 milestones from its first three months: entering Saskatchewan’s Athabasca basin through that agreement, advancing its wholly owned Bankier property in British Columbia’s Quesnel terrane, raising CA$1.5 million, expanding its technical and strategic advisory group, and broadening access to European and U.S. investors.

At the center of the push is Purecore’s definitive agreement with Skyharbour, which options up to a 100% interest in the 35,029-hectare Yurchison uranium property in northern Saskatchewan — carrying the newcomer into one of the world’s premier uranium districts.

President and Chief Executive Officer Peter Berdusco said, “Since listing in May, we have moved quickly to execute our strategy. We have secured capital, expanded into the Athabasca basin, advanced our copper-focused exploration in the Quesnel terrane, strengthened our advisory team, and established trading access in Canada, Europe, and the United States. Ten significant milestones in roughly three months reflect the pace we intend to maintain. Our strategy remains simple: two commodities, one demand curve — uranium and copper positioned against the long-term growth in global electricity demand.”

Purecore said it continues to see favorable long-term conditions for both metals. Bank of America expects uranium to average US$130 per pound in 2027, and Sprott Asset Management has characterized the market as “on the cusp of a new contracting cycle” as utilities increasingly seek long-term supply agreements. Copper, too, reached record levels in 2026 on limited supply, infrastructure spending, and rising global electricity demand — reinforcing Purecore’s focus on uranium and copper as beneficiaries of expanding power requirements.

Purecore Builds Out Team, Projects, and Capital

The company added three senior advisers. Dr. Ted Rygas brings more than 30 years in chemical engineering, nuclear technology, and isotope separation and purification, including work on Cameco Corp.’s (CCO:TSX; CCJ:NYSE) Crisla uranium isotope-separation program. Dr. Dennis LaPoint contributes more than 45 years of mineral exploration across uranium, copper, precious and base metals, and serves as an independent qualified person for Yurchison. Jordan Trimble, Skyharbour’s president and CEO, adds expertise in uranium exploration, project generation, capital markets, and the Athabasca basin.

At Yurchison, Purecore can earn up to a 100% interest under its Skyharbour agreement. The property spans 22 claims over about 35,029 hectares in northern Saskatchewan, roughly 75 kilometers south of Cameco Corp.’s Rabbit Lake operation, with Highway 905 running through it. Earlier work included geophysical surveys, prospecting, mapping, geochemical sampling, and drilling, and historical sampling near old trenches returned uranium grades of 0.09% to 0.30% triuranium octoxide and molybdenum of 2,500 to 6,400 parts per million. Purecore plans to explore in stages.

In British Columbia, Purecore owns the Bankier property outright, about 22 kilometers west of Peachland in the Quesnel terrane and 20 kilometers south of the former Brenda copper-molybdenum mine. Bankier hosts multielement MMI anomalies for copper, molybdenum, gold, and uranium. The company completed its initial field program in July 2026 and is now combining historical geological, geochemical, and geophysical data to sharpen targets.

Purecore also raised CA$1.5 million in a non-brokered private placement completed July 6, issuing 1.5 million units at CA$1 each — each unit one common share plus one transferable warrant exercisable at CA$2 for three years. The company now has 15,305,047 common shares outstanding and trades on the CSE as PURE, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange as J8Y, and the U.S. OTCQB Venture Market as PPURF. The added European and U.S. listings broadened market access without issuing more shares.

Analysts Back Skyharbour’s Prospect-Generator Model

Skyharbour’s partnership-driven, prospect-generator model — the same approach behind the Purecore deal — has drawn analyst attention. Haywood Securities’ Marcus Giannini initiated coverage on May 28 with a “Buy” rating and a CA$1-per-share target.

“Skyharbour is a uranium exploration company we have followed for some time and has frequently been profiled in Haywood’s Exploration Quarterly Report,” the analyst wrote. “Skyharbour is focused on the discovery of unconformity-style uranium deposits in the prolific Athabasca Basin, anchored by its co-flagship Moore Lake and Russell Lake projects.”

Giannini emphasized the prospect-generator strategy, which broadens Skyharbour’s exploration exposure through partnerships that fund much of the work on properties near established uranium districts. He called the company’s agreement with Denison Mines Corp. at Russell Lake a key development, adding funding, personnel, and technical capability from an experienced uranium company.

“With the partnership at Russell established, a proven project in Moore, and exposure to significant exploration drilling through joint venture projects, we think the timing is right for Skyharbour to take the next step in its exploration journey,” Giannini said. “We like Skyharbour for the exposure it provides in terms of blue-sky exploration upside in a proven uranium district, while maintaining a lower risk profile relative to pure play exploration peers through its prospect generator business with minimized dilution through a partnership model.”

On July 23, 2026, Jeff Clark and Daniel Flynn of The Paydirt Prospector reviewed Skyharbour’s progress. Flynn said the publication assigned a “Hold” in its summer portfolio review, mainly because Moore Lake had produced few updates since drilling began — but he pointed to a heavy slate of catalysts ahead, including results from a broader 2026 drilling program that Skyharbour’s Paydirt Prospector coverage described as roughly twice last year’s total campaign. Assays from Moore Lake and other portfolio properties could add value, he said, while Jeff Clark continues to hold an overweight position.

The Catalyst: AI’s Power Hunger Meets a Uranium Squeeze

The rapid growth of AI and power-hungry data centers is pushing utilities and governments toward more reliable generation, with nuclear emerging as a critical source of around-the-clock power, according to a June 2 report on the website Informed Clearly. Direct nuclear power-purchase agreements between major tech companies and reactor operators are reshaping how hyperscalers plan and finance energy, the report said, as data-center electricity demand is expected to double by 2027 — with AI workloads driving more than 60% of that increase.

Microsoft Corp. (MSFT:NASDAQ), Amazon.com Inc. (AMZN:NASDAQ), and Google parent Alphabet Inc. Class A (GOOGL:NASDAQ) are increasingly turning to long-term direct contracts, reactor restarts and small modular reactor developers as grid-connection delays and higher costs strain conventional utility arrangements. The pressure is acute: the U.S. interconnection backlog exceeds 2,600 GW, connection waits near five years, and project-withdrawal rates approach 80%, while the International Energy Agency estimates congestion puts 20% of planned data-center projects worldwide at risk. Nearly half of the AI data centers planned in the U.S. for 2026 are reportedly delayed, leaving a 7 GW shortfall that threatens roughly US$650 billion in hyperscaler capital spending.[OWNERSHIP_CHART-11646][OWNERSHIP_CHART-6026]

Supply is the other half of the squeeze. Years of underinvestment in new mines have constrained uranium even as reactor demand climbs, according to an August 25 ZeroHedge report on OilPrice.com. New projects can take up to a decade to develop, so producers cannot ramp quickly when prices rise, and output remains concentrated among a few miners, including Cameco. Goldman analysts have repeatedly flagged that uranium has moved into a supply deficit likely to widen as more reactors come online, the report noted, while China — on track to become the world’s largest nuclear market before the decade ends — drives much of the global buildout.

“Continued strength in term pricing and signs of accelerating utility procurement offer further evidence that the uranium market is tightening structurally,” UBS analyst George Eadie noted earlier this month, according to ZeroHedge.

As hyperscalers accelerate data-center development, dependable electricity is becoming a binding constraint — and nuclear stands out as the only scalable, low-carbon source of round-the-clock baseload power, supporting a revival that could remain a major theme for years.

Common Investor Questions

What did Skyharbour and Purecore announce? A definitive option agreement letting Purecore Metals Inc. (PURE:CSE) earn up to a 100% interest in Skyharbour Resources Ltd.’s (SYH:TSX.V) 35,029-hectare Yurchison uranium property in northern Saskatchewan’s Athabasca Basin — the deal that carried the newcomer into one of the world’s premier uranium districts.

What is the Yurchison property? It spans 22 claims across about 35,029 hectares, roughly 75 kilometers south of Cameco Corp.’s Rabbit Lake operation, with Highway 905 running through it. Historical sampling near old trenches returned uranium grades of 0.09% to 0.30% triuranium octoxide and molybdenum of 2,500 to 6,400 parts per million. Much of the ground is underexplored, and Purecore plans to work it in stages.

What is Purecore’s broader strategy? Two commodities on one demand curve, as CEO Peter Berdusco frames it: uranium at Yurchison and copper at its wholly owned Bankier property in British Columbia’s Quesnel terrane — both positioned against long-term growth in global electricity demand. Since its May 2026 listing, the company says it has hit 10 milestones, including a CA$1.5 million raise and new Frankfurt (J8Y) and U.S. OTCQB (PPURF) listings that broadened access without issuing more shares.

Why does the deal fit Skyharbour’s model? Skyharbour runs a prospect-generator strategy, advancing its Athabasca portfolio through partnerships that fund much of the exploration on properties near established uranium districts — the same approach behind its Denison Mines Corp. arrangement at Russell Lake. The Purecore option is another example, bringing in exploration spending and cash-and-share payments while Skyharbour retains exposure.

Why uranium now? AI and power-hungry data centers are driving utilities and governments toward reliable, around-the-clock generation, with nuclear a prime beneficiary; data-center electricity demand is expected to double by 2027. On the supply side, years of underinvestment have pushed uranium into a widening deficit — new mines can take a decade to build — while China’s buildout accelerates. UBS analyst George Eadie recently noted the market “is tightening structurally.”
