Marsha Ambrosius: Friends & Lovers Unite

Marsha Ambrosius has been teasing us with her new Friends & Lovers album for over a year now. She even dropped an EP, F%$k & Love, a few months back. In fact, the song “So Good” on that EP is also featured on Friends & Lovers. Her first album, also a long time coming, was sultry, beautiful, yet somewhat dark. Now she’s back again, 3 year later, with her new album. But sales aren’t exactly what some expected. She’s projected to sell about 15,000 copies in its debut week. Either way, one of the hottest tracks on the album, “Shoes” really sums up the essence of the album. This song speaks of her catch 22 stance of being in love with a man who is with another woman.
