Madonna: A Rebel For Love

Love her or hate her, you can’t deny Madonna’s influence and stamina in the music business. Her imprint can be seen in everyone from Lady Gaga to Nicki Minaj (who recently collaborated with Madonna). With 12 albums already under her belt, she’s the iconic woman many entertainers only dream to become. I like many of her hit singles and even some of her rare material. I can’t say that I’m a huge fan of hers, but her Hard Candy album (which was produced primarily by Pharrell) is still a great go to on my iPod. True to form, she has slid in unexpectedly at the tail end of 2014 to tease us with snippets and songs from her upcoming album Rebel Heart, set to be released on March 10, 2015.

It’s a bit of a far reach away considering many of the songs have already leaked. To do a little damage control, she made 6 of the album’s songs available for purchase before the official release. Madonna says that the meaning behind the album’s title is specifically speaking to the two dominant (yet opposing) sides of her personality: the rebellious side and the romantic side. It was actually set to be a double disc initially. With song titles like, “B!tch, I’m Madonna”, “Unapolgetic B!tch” and “Devil Pray”. “Living For Love”, the Diplo produced track, is the lead single from the new album. Alicia Keys is even featured on the track playing piano.
