ATLA: Hot Girls Up Next

Artist development is something that’s virtually unheard of these days in the music business. It seems like a good marketing campaign is more essential than actual raw talent. So it’s only fitting that “T-Boz”, the T in the largest American selling female group of all time TLC, helps bring back the integrity to music. For the past few weeks, she’s been searching for some ladies to be in a girl group together under the name of Project Next. She was looking for women who could sing, dance and potentially rap as well. The group was rumored to be a trio of ladies, leaving some fans questioning if T-Boz was trying to groom another TLC.

Although several women auditioned for the third slot (and didn’t make the cut), Ashia (who interestingly enough dances for TLC) and Dimonae were the cream of the crop. These 2 ladies have joined forces to form ATLA. I’m not too fond of the name (I’m assuming it means from Atlanta to Los Angeles), but they definitely have an undeniable swag.
