MILES TO GO (Tim Russ, Christian Kane, Anna Easteden, James Duval) by Shawnda Christiansen

“Miles to go” takes place in a small town governed by Talutha Counties Sheriff Corbin (Christian Kane).  The town is overrun by rampant drug use, and it seems drug dealers loiter in every single alleyway.  Sheriff Corbin’s mission is to clean up the town and his department carries out daily drug raids in an effort to achieve the goal.  He cites that local drug dealers are only the body of a larger snake – he’s looking for the head.

June Taylor (Anna Easteden) has fallen prey to the drug induced windfall, and has hit rock bottom as she has begun selling her body for her next fix.  Her brother Xander Taylor (Peter Wrobel) has made it his mission in life to save his sister from herself, so his first step is to stop the local drug dealers from selling to her.  He decides to confront one of them, and shortly afterwards he goes missing.

June leans on Sheriff Corbin for help and he does offer a warm shoulder.  He sends out all available deputies to work on locating Xander and asks June to rest, clean up, and let him do his job.  She can’t seem to stop herself from taking matters into her own hands and manages to get herself into a lot of trouble.  Even worse, she is causing a distraction for the deputies who are supposed to be focused on finding her brother.

Realizing that she is too much of a mess to help anyone, she goes through an amazing transformation, and rises from rock bottom right before your very eyes.  She is a phoenix rising from the ashes, she is June Taylor, a JUNKIE with MILES TO GO (Directed by, Tim Russ).

Fun Fact:  This film was based on a true story, and is a beautiful portrayal of every human beings potential to change.
