LIFE K-DRAMA REVIEW

Now who’s got enough of Korean heartthrob Lee Dong Wook? Me, not yet, even though the series has already ended. And here is our Life K-drama review (with spoilers ahead).

It started so gloomy, tense and “questionable.” With the hospital’s director dead on arrival (DOA) state, it had the flashbacks now and then. It could be a bit “mysterious” or “confusing” but viewers eventually followed what is going on.

Korean drama actor Lee Dong Wook played the role of Dr. Ye Jin Woo. He was close to the late hospital’s director without their colleagues’ knowledge. He was like a father to Dr. Ye. Hence, the young doctor wanted to solve the mystery surrounding the director Lee Bu Hoon’s (Korean drama actor Chun Ho Jin) death.

Later on, he managed to put the pieces together, while fighting against the hospital’s administration — especially the appointed president or chief director of the hospital Goo Seung Hyo (Korean drama actor Cho Seung Woo). They underwent several challenges to keep their jobs and positions at the hospital.

Dr. Ye then joined forces with Director Lee Bu Hoon’s mentee Dr. Joo Kyung Moon (Korean drama actor Yoo Jae Myung). He and other department heads at the hospital like Dr. Oh Se Hwa (Korean drama actress Moon So Ri), pediatric specialist Dr. Lee No Eul (Korean drama actress Won Jin Ah) and the others also came together for the “common good.”

The dialogues, characters and their jabs at each other were truly entertaining. At the same time, they were informative and enlightening for viewers. Some moral lessons like generosity, love for family, being considerate to others, not being judgmental and others have been relayed to viewers too well.

The brotherly love between brothers Dr. Ye Jin Woo (Lee Dong Wook) and Dr. Ye Seon Woo (Korean drama actor Lee Kyu Hyung) was truly beautiful but sometimes sad and filled with drama. Nonetheless, Jin Woo and Seon Woo had a great relationship until the end.

Personally, I cannot imagine other actors to do the job of the cast members of Life. They all did a great job in this medical series. It is definitely a must watch Korean drama in 2018!
