Alan Parsons Releases 'The Secret'

After nearly fifteen years, legendary producer/engineer and artist Alan Parsons has released his latest album, The Secret. A video announcing the album’s release first dropped on CNN in late April. This comes on the heels of Parsons winning a Grammy in February for “Best Surround Sound Album” for the 2019 remix of his classic album Eye in the Sky.

The Secret was partially recorded at Hybrid Studios in Santa Ana. Tom Brooks, who works closely with the OC studio, was in part responsible for orchestral arrangements and conducted the album’s orchestra along with Parsons. The orchestra consisted of A-list LA session players like Vinnie Colaiuta and Nathan East, and they were recorded at Hybrid Studios during one of Alan Parsons’ master classes in March 2018.

It’s been fifteen years, but the music is well worth the wait!”

Perhaps best known as a multi-platinum engineer and producer, Alan Parsons has also been widely influential as an artist. Between 1975-1990 The Alan Parsons Project’s theme-based brand of progressive pop racked up multiple hit singles and albums including the classics Eye In The Sky, I Wouldn’t Want To Be Like You and Games People Play.

First week charts have been excellent for The Secret. In the US, the album reached #10 in Top Rock Albums, #11 in Top Independent Label Current Albums, #33 in Top Current Albums, and #36 in Billboard Top Albums. It’s #12 on Germany’s Album chart and #13 in Switzerland.
