NEXTGEN TV Launch Boosts Awareness

Magid and Pearl TV jointly worked on research on the rising awareness of NEXTGEN TV, the research results are astounding. According to the research:

l 25 percent of the respondents already knew about NEXTGEN TV.

l 73 percent were very positive about NEXTGEN TV. There were no negative reactions.

l 60 percent of those who viewed the NEXTGEN TV ads said they would purchase TV sets that support NEXTGEN TV within the coming 12 months.

According to the research, the following features differentiate NEXTGEN TV from other broadcasters.

Does NEXTGEN TV Require a New antenna?

As stated earlier, NEXTGEN TV will require you to buy a new TV set, but because its signals are broadcast on the existing television frequencies, viewers won’t need new antennas. You need a new TV because it will broadcast in a new format that relies heavily on the internet.

Currently, only a few TVs have ATSC 3.0 tuners, an upgrade of ATSC tuners, that supports NEXTGEN TV. Unfortunately, the government has no plans to subsidize the price of decoders.

ATSC 3.0 has many features that ATSC 1.0 doesn’t have. It is based on Internet Protocol (IP) that merges internet content with broadcast TV. ATSC 3.0 supports high-bandwidth streams, thanks to its ultramodern compression system, which allows it to deliver 4K signals or cram more standard- or high-definition channels in a single space. The greatest advantage of NEXTGEN TV is that it delivers targeted ads, meaning viewers from different regions will see different ads.
