Unbelievable Secrets Flight Attendants Never Tell Passengers

After working for many years at a mfg plant which made parts/assemblies for Boing Aircraft, I made the very wise choice to never fly again. There is a log book of every assembly. Flaws are recorded. The average thickness of a log book on a completed Tail section assembly is 8 inches. Granted there is a lot of cosmetic flaws. But, the structural flaws are the killers. Engineers answer is “hammer to fit and paint to match”. That “buys” the flaw and little dirty birdy is shipped off to final assembly somewhere in Washington State by Rail road. Yep, even that could be quite the stress test 4000 mile trip over mountains on a train must certainly be quite a strain on mostly aluminum parts. All before being added to the remainder of substandard quality. I was a quality inspector. And do not approve of anyone ever getting in these disasters waiting to happen. Secondary markets fly aircraft well beyond any metal stress standards for acceptable flight. Money takes care of that with a simple stamp of approval by substandard engineers wanting to be managers or Vice Presidents up on Mahogany Row someday. 30 + years of flight free living.
