In recent years, Hollywood has been making bad movies with worse casts. This shift toward “socially conscious” flicks has caused the bank accounts of swindling swine to suffer. And they deserve it. Some argue that woke movies offer unique stories and diversified representation, but that is nothing more than a carnival barker’s crow as he finally adds one too many plates to his juggling routine and winds up face down, ass up under a blitz of porcelain shards.
Barbie? Give me Bobbie. (E. Brown)
She said? What about what HE has to say?
Female Ghostbusters? I will not comment on this.
But here’s something I will say: most ordinary people are not going to pay hard American dollars to go see a movie that stinks of liberal propa-pander, no matter what the color, sex, religion, or sexual orientation of the filmmakers or the cast. It’s only the elites who, unfortunately, run institutions like studios, media outlets, and colleges who believe that “diversity,” as they define it, has anything to do with quality.
So let us turn back the clock to a time when America actually made things. Things like movies. Movies telling true tales of power and refuge, disease and hubris. Movies that reached out through the looking glass and dared to say “What am I?! A man or a beast?!”
Cecil B. DeMille was a true pioneer in the early days of Hollywood. His career spanned over six decades, during which he directed and produced numerous films, but was best known for his epic biblical, historical spectacles.
“The Ten Commandments,” released in 1956, stands out as one of DeMille’s most iconic works. The film is a grand retelling of the biblical story of Moses and the Exodus. What sets it apart, however, is not just its epic scale and stunning visuals but also its unwavering focus on moral values. DeMille’s version of “The Ten Commandments” emphasizes the importance of faith, righteousness, and moral responsibility, making it a timeless classic that continues to resonate with red-blooded American audiences today.
But beyond his contributions to the world of cinema, Cecil B. DeMille also played a significant role in the political landscape of his time. He was a staunch anti-communist and an active member of the National Committee for a Free Europe. This organization, founded by the C.I.A during the early years of the Cold War. Cecil was dedicated to countering communist propaganda in Eastern Europe by broadcasting pro-democracy messages for all to hear.
He didn’t just make movies about morality and freedom. He lived them. A type of macho charisma and dedication that I think modern Hollywood is desperately lacking. So send the Hollywood thugs a message, pop that corn at home, keep your dollars in your wallet, and visit your local Redbox for a copy.
