Toronto Sun Censors & Closes Comments on B.C. Coast Fukushima Radiation “Story”

The Toronto Sun has censored a comment posted by this writer; and now has closed the comment section of it’s “report” - Fukushima radiation detected off coast of B.C.  The report stated, “Trace amounts of radioactive isotopes from Fukushima power plant disaster have been detected along B.C.’s shoreline for the first time.”  Original story page here.

This writer posted a comment, “Give me a break. Hey Toronto Sun AND Woods Hole, catch up to the real world. Quit trying to spin it, we’re not as clueless as you think we are. Go to http://www.thenuclearproctologist.org  Get your answers right there from Dana Durnford who has been risking his life to report on the Fukushima tragedy from the nursery of the Pacific, British Columbia.  Look at the thousands of pictures of NO LIFE in the tide pools.  Catch up on the Orcas, no pups have lived past a year since the event.  Bio-accumulation from the bottom to the top.  Or, how about reports from the last four years given by Yoichi Shimatsu.  Catch up for crying out loud.  Shame on all “institutions” and “media” for under-reporting and mis-reporting this horrific issue.  The continuing and increasing negative effects are beginning to become more, and more obvious, it will not be covered up forever.   Let’s see how long this post lasts.”

Lo, and behold, it didn’t take long for the post not to make the cut, and NOW comments have been “closed” for the story.  My comment is no where to be found. See the following screen shot.

So, what’s the matter Toronto Sun?  To much real journalism there for you?  We can’t have people examining Dana Durnford’s incredible journey and what he has documented along the way, at great risk to his own life and health.  We can’t have people reading the reports from Yoichi Shimatsu, who for 4 years has given incredible and important information about this issue, with great risk to his personal health and safety.  We couldn’t have an informed populous now, could we?

Apparently not.

Well here’s to the Toronto Sun AND Woods Hole. As usual, by trying to cover up the issue, your manipulation of the conversation about Fukushima has tipped your hands because your censorship has backfired…yet again.

We know Fukushima is here, WE are watching it ourselves. And we’ll keep covering it better, and more truthfully. More effects are on the way…none of them good for anything.

Shame on you Toronto Sun….shame.
