The Sun apologises to MP for calling her lazy while she was on maternity leave

(not satire – it’s Murdoch’s hacks)

The Sun included Labour MP for Manchester Central Lucy Powell in its list of ’10 laziest MPs’ today based on her voting record in the House of Commons.

The Murdoch rag then quickly had to backtrack and tweet an apology after realising she has in fact been on maternity leave for a couple of months and has been working from her constituency for a few months rather than travelling down to Westminster:

Ms Powell is quite rightly demanding an apology from the newspaper in print – which we all know is not going to happen.

Anyone know how much these Murdoch journalists get paid for being so incompetent they couldn’t even be bothered to check basic facts before they print a so-called news story?

Because whatever it is – it’s too bloody much.
