Ireland Prime Minister Enda Kenny visited President Obama at the White House for St. Patrick’s Day only to be embarrassed by what appeared to be an epic snub.

As cameras snapped, Obama turned away from the Taoiseach and left him hanging during a clear attempt at a handshake.

3. Poland reveals Tunisia gunmen attacked tour bus

Poland’s prime minister has revealed that some of the Polish victims of Tunisia’s museum attack were on a tour bus in front of the building when the gunmen opened fire.

Ewa Kopacz refused to give the precise number of Polish victims, saying figures were still being confirmed. Earlier Wednesday, the Foreign Ministry said that three Poles were injured, while Polish diplomats in Tunis were working to confirm unofficial reports that four Poles had been killed.

(One begins to see that muslims and leftists are natural allies against the rest of the world in the same way that radically different kinds of grasshoppers would form a nervous alliance against the ants as the fable goes, so long as each feels it can live off the savings and labour of the ants without having to do much actual work to get at it)

6. ISIS: Four Islamic extremists ‘had links to university in Liverpool’

Four former students from a university in Liverpool have links to Islamist terrorism, it has been claimed.

It is believed two former students of Liverpool’s John Moores University have been killed fighting for ISIS in Syria, the Liverpool Echo reports.

Another was jailed earlier this month for plotting terrorist atrocities on both sides of the Atlantic.

The university has declined to comment on the allegation.

Meanwhile, a fourth was named at the weekend as a senior ISIS commander who left behind a wife and child to wage jihad in the Middle East.

7. Almost all mosques destroyed in C African Republic conflict

Almost all of the 436 mosques in the Central African Republic have been destroyed by months of vicious fighting between Christians and Muslims, the U.S. ambassador to the United Nations said Tuesday, calling the devastation “kind of crazy, chilling.”

Samantha Power spoke to reporters after a Security Council visit last week to the country. She expressed concern about an upcoming possible security vacuum as European Union and French forces pull out and a U.N. peacekeeping force is still not at full strength.

At least 5,000 people have been killed since Central African Republic exploded into unprecedented sectarian violence in December 2013. Nearly 1 million of the Texas-sized country’s 4.5 million residents have been displaced. Many of those who have fled are Muslim.

Power said 417 of the country’s mosques have been destroyed. She visited the one remaining Muslim neighborhood in the capital, Bangui, and described the residents as “a terrified population.”

(While it is nice to see some good news for a change, as its the US admin that is reporting thus chances are there is little truth to the story and no balance. What about the Churches there? What caused the Christian communities to attack mosques? Could it be that mosques are used as forward stations and beachheads where attacks are planned and areas are islamified?)
