Sir Gerald Howarth MP to campaign for Brexit
Sir Gerald Howarth, Conservative MP for Aldershot, has announced today that he will be campaigning for Britain to leave the European Union. This is excellent news.
Sir Gerald said:
“Since 1975 we have witnessed a relentless process towards political union with the development of a Parliament, a currency, a central bank, a President, and a Foreign Minister, attempts were made to create an EU military HQ and the European Court of Justice (which sits above our own High Court) has sought to extend its jurisdiction.
“These are the attributes of a nation state.
“In addition, free movement of labour has been used as a mechanism for a massive shift in populations with the UK powerless to control its own borders.”
