I have had this treatment and thoroughly recommend it.
I have suffered with knee pain for the past 10 years. I have seen my GP who referred me for an MRI scan. The diagnosis was chondromalacia patellae of the knee. I was advised the treatment for this was a knee replacement, which due to my age would not be offered for some years.
