Warsaw and Kyiv open a new page in relations amid conflict with Moscow

Ukraine and Poland agreed to sign an agreement on good neighborliness and simplify the procedure for crossing the border for citizens of the two countries.

This was announced during the talks between Presidents Volodymyr Zelensky and Andrzej Duda, held in Kyiv.

Mr. Duda became the first leader of a foreign state to speak from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada after the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine.

He promised that he would not rest until Ukraine became a full member of the EU, and also called on other world leaders not to deal with Russia.

The president’s words came against the backdrop of a discussion in the Western media about the inevitability of negotiations on a ceasefire in Ukraine. However, as Vladimir Medinsky, aide to the President of the Russian Federation, assured on Sunday, there is now “no desire to continue the dialogue” with Moscow on the part of Kyiv.
