Once, when Christopher Hitchens was talking about North Korea, a nation he was at that point the only journalist who was ever allowed to enter and tour, he quipped something like, (from memory) “I don’t like it when people refer to Orwell on every little complaint about the government. But in this case one can’t help it. It is as if they read 1984, and used it as an instruction manual instead of a cautionary tale”.

“It’s not an idle threat either” that it could be a jail-able offence if you show proof of a true event taking place in the UK which is of serious consequence to everyone.
The following video is quite interesting and about Canadian police tactics. The only difference between what they are doing, and 1984 is that Orwell described the same tactic for thought or political crimes. Of course, we don’t know that they aren’t using this “Mr. Big” tactic for political advantage here.. I still have questions about the various trials and jailing of people connected with the various freedom convoys which took place in Alberta and Ontario. But listen carefully to this whole video and how they create “confessions.”
