Meeting of The Minds: Asia Entrepreneurship Forum 2012 To Launch in Macau

MACAU, September 6, 2012 – The inaugural Asia Entrepreneurship Forum 2012 will be held from 19 to 21 September in Macau, China.

Over 500 of the region’s leading business leaders and industry thought leaders will gather at the City of Dreams to discuss the future of entrepreneurship in Asia. The talks will be organized by Enterprise Asia, a regional non-governmental organization.

Some of the confirmed key players include: Dr Sarath Amunumaga, Sri Lanka’s Senior Minister for International Monetary Co-operation; Ghulam Muhammad Quader, Bangladesh’s Commerce Minister; Dr Syarifuddin Hasan, Indonesia’s Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs; Mohd Ali Rustam, Chief Minister of Melaka in Malaysia; and Gwendolyn Fiel Garcia, Governor of Cebu Province in the Philippines.

We know that policies alone will not change the fate of any community, country or region. It is the action of the people which holds the power of change. Therefore, I believe that it is the entrepreneurs who must act as agents of change in determining the progress of Asia today and in the future”.
