Chicago's Edgewater Neighborhood Edge Fest 2013
It’s not often I talk about non-financial events, but when it assists the local chamber of commerce, thus providing a stronger ability for local commerce and economic development, I thought it would be worth noting as I did last year.
Chicago’s historic Edgewater neighborhood will be heating up along the lakefront in August for the second annual Edge Fest. Produced by Star Events. Edge Fest will be highlighted by great family fun, delicious cuisine, award-winning entertainment, and more than three-dozen local artists.
The inaugural Edge Fest in 2012 was so well received by the community that the fest had to return for a second year. The 2013 Edge Fest will feature family fun all weekend-long.
On Saturday, August 3, Third Coast Comics will present a special evening of karaoke on the festival’s South Stage.
Sunday, August 4 at 1:30 p.m., families are encouraged to bring their furry friends and participate in a dog costume contest presented by The Bark Bark Club.
