BREAKING! 1 officer killed, 6 others wounded in Florence, South Carolina shooting
According to CBS News 7 Officers were shot, 1 fatally, during a confrontation with the suspect who was alegedly holding children hostage. The suspect allegedly surrendered after speaking to a hostage negotiator.
Florence Police Chief Allen Heidler said one of his officer’s was killed during the incident.
“I want you to pray for the family who lost the bravest police officer I have ever known,” Heidler said, holding back tears.
