2-year-old Pennsylvania boy dies after serving as best man
A 2-year-old boy with terminal cancer that recently served as his parents’ best man past away. According to Fox News, Logan Stevenson died in his mother Christine’s arms yesterday.
Sean and Christine Stevenson got married last weekend and Logan made headlines because he was the couples’ best man. Logan was dressed in an orange shirt and a tan pinstripe suit and was held by his grandmother Debbie for the 12-minute ceremony at his parents’ home.
Logan’s parents were originally planning to get married on July 2014 but got married last weekend after learning that their son only had a few weeks to live.
“Logan passed away yesterday evening, surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was very comfortable.” A family friend, Sylvia Johnson told The Associated Press on Tuesday.
“Sean and I held him all day. He was comfortable with his medication then at 8:18 my son took his last breath in my arms. He is with angels and he’s in no more pain,” Logan’s mother posted on Facebook.
Logan was born on October 22, 2010 and was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and Fanconi anemia shortly before his first birthday.
The Stevensons thanked everyone who supported them by offering prayers.
