Fantasy Football Outlook: We know foot problems can linger and when Garcon comes out and expresses concern about his foot holding up throughout this season, in the spring, you know we have a problem. It’s a shame because Garcon is in a terrific situation to give us WR2 numbers but I would probably like to see him going outside the top 25 at this position with the foot concerns we will have to consider.
He’s worth consideration as a WR3 option if he can make it through the preseason healthy and without missing time because he needs to give his foot rest.

August, 2012: Is Garcon Ready For A Big Year In Washington?
Heading into the preseason I was skeptical Garcon could perform at a consistent WR3 level.
Up and down play was a problem back in Indianapolis and we’ve seen Washington over pay players in the past, but there production on the field doesn’t translate to the contract the team dished out. Just because Garcon was signed to be the top receiver, I needed to see it on the field.
Only time will tell is Garcon is up to the challenge but after watching the Redskins first preseason game, it’s clear that Robert Griffin will be looking his way with regularity.
If this trend continues (I believe it will) we should see Garcon breakout for a nice season, and those of you in performance leagues will enjoy some big plays between this pair.
Griffin has a great arm and his accuracy down the field will pay off for Garcon who is the top deep threat on the team. Garcon’s touchdown off a screen play against the Bills and his targets over the middle and on out routes suggest he will be more than just a deep threat in his offense.
Currently going as the 28th receiver off the board (pick 7.08) in recent ADP trends, Garcon is a nice value in PPR leagues and we should look to him as an option to draft as early as the sixth round.

May, 2012: Fantasy Projections
While Pierre Garcon is a starting caliber receiver in the league, he will likely struggle with consistency, with this new team. Garcon has had the luxury of playing opposite Reggie Wayne but even when Peyton Manning was under center, he was an unreliable weekly starter.
Count on defenses targeting Garcon as the top receiver to stop in the Redskins offense, and unless he flashes better ability on the field, he’s likely to frustrate you, if your counting on him in your starting lineup.
Garcon’s current ADP trend has him landing as the 31st receiver off the board, making him a WR3 addition in twelve team leagues. If you can get him as your WR4, consider that a fair gamble, but I wouldn’t look to him as an option ot count on weekly.
Summer of 2011: Fantasy Projections
While Pierre Garcon’s stats were better in his third season, he didn’t enjoy the breakout year that many were hoping for in fantasy football. When you figure that Anthony Gonzalez missed basically another season, Austin Collie missed extended time from concussion issues and Dallas Clark was gone for most of the year, this was a disappointingseason. With so many key pass catchers out of the lineup and Manning still throwing for close to 300 yards a game, Garcon should have been a shoe in for over 1,000 yards receiving, but he failed to come close to that mark.
Coming into the summer, Garcon ADP value on Mock Draft Central lists him as the 29th receiver taken in standard redraft leagues and that is way too high in my mind. Sure, if the Colts suffer more injuries this season, Garcon could be a worthy third receiver to own in ten and twelve team leagues, but again, with so many injuries last year I wanted to see more.
No, Garcon seems to get inflated value in large because of the team he’s on and the post season run he had a few years ago. This fourth year receiver could end up being a starter on fantasy squads, but he needs to show more consistency before that can happen.

2010 Preview
Pierre Garcon made the most of his staring opportunity after Gonzalez went down for the year. Look for Garcon to keep the starting job as he provides best pure deep speed on the roster.
2010 Fantasy Football Outlook
2009 Fantasy Year In Review: Pierre Garcon seemed to come out of nowhere to be a decent No.2 receiver for the Colts after Anthony Gonzalez went down with a knee injury. What separated Garcon apart from fellow receivers like Gonzalez and Austin Collie is that he can make big plays down the field.
At no point was this truer than is big game against the Jets in the AFC Championship game when he posted eleven catches for 151 yards and a touchdown.

2010 NFL Fantasy Football Player Rankings: It looks like the Colts are going to keep Garcon as the No.2 starter opposite Reggie Wayne. This is mainly because of Garcon’s big play ability and that is something Gonzalez and Collie can’t deliver.
With the success Garcon enjoy in the post season and a full offseason to work with Peyton Manning, I expect his touchdown total to move up. Look for Garcon to post around 900 yards receiving and eight touchdowns in his second season as the Colts’ starter.
