Wednesday Morning Update
On the daily chart 1357 is the support level I have been watching, but on the intraday chart it is the midpoint btween yesterday’s low and high, and is right now not support at all. 1348 is the level to watch today, and we have already tested it this morning. It has held (as I write) but if it breaks there is going to be some real trouble. The “safety” sectors are leading this morning: XLP, XLU and XLV. XLE and XLB are lagging. The Nasdaq is leading slightly, the Russell 2000 is lagging slightly. Oil, gold, and treasury yields are all down.
I have 25 new highs so far, with breakouts in DIS, DF, and IILG. Once again I have a boatload of reports so I made another table, last night’s on the left, this morning’s on the right:
