Chinese Economy Could Crash; Special Report by Leading Financial Newsletter Profit Confidential

After studying the economy and lowering his economic forecast based on numerous sources, both from the government and independent firms, Sasha Cekerevac, contributor to Profit Confidential, concludes the Chinese economy may soon crash.

In the article “Is China a Ponzi Scheme?,” Cekerevac expresses his worry that if the Chinese economy were to crash suddenly, it would have a severe impact on the global economy, including the U.S.

“Recent activity by Chinese companies shows a disturbing trend for the truly bizarre,” says Cekerevac.

Cekerevac highlights a construction equipment maker in China called Zoomlion, which is seeking $22.0 billion in credit so that it may fund its customers.

“This is a large amount of money for a company that itself is only worth $12.0 billion,” says Cekerevac. “This is a sign of how desperate the situation is in China, as customers have no cash to purchase equipment.”

Cekerevac notes that the situation is even worse. “It gets even crazier,” says Cekerevac. According to the editor, the rumor is that machines are being purchased on credit and then being used as collateral. The customers who bought the construction equipment are getting credit backed by the equipment, which they in turn are financing for their own clients.

The Chinese economy appears to be one giant house of cards, according to Cekerevac.

“Essentially, none of the customers along this chain have the money to buy the goods,” says Cekerevac. “It appears everybody is completely overextended.”

Cekerevac advises that when you have a situation where collateral is being borrowed multiple times on the same assets, it is a huge warning sign for the global economy.
