Rick Atkinson-The Guns At Last Light

Started reading The Guns At Last Light.  It’s part of the Liberation Trilogy.  I am into the first few chapters, and it’s already an amazing book. The Prologue is 41 pages. Atkinson is a tremendous writer.  Obviously, the details of D-Day and the ensuing march across France into Germany are target rich with emotional information.  But, Atkinson tells the story with the right tone, and the right historical fact to make it more meaningful to the reader.

I have an extra advance copy of the book.  I will mail it to someone who donates a minimum of $1000 bucks to the National World War Two Museum in honor of the Tuskegee Airman.  You have to reference my name and the museum will send me the address. I will Fed Ex the copy to you.  The actual book will not come out until May of 2013.  You’ll get the tax write off.  The only reason I want my name to be referenced is I need to know who is first, and where I am sending it.  I already donated my money to the museum this year.  The clock is ticking.
