The Daily Dab: A Quick Hit On Cannabis Stocks 01/27/14

Again, cannabis-related stocks traded higher on balance, but there were some definite exceptions as he action remains quite volatile.  Volumes picked up, with most stocks trading above the 30-day average, and 6 stocks traded over $5mm in value.

5 Ways to Play the Hottest Trend in Cannabis

Plandai Biotech (PLPL) soared to a multi-year a high as volume soared to a record.  Cannabis Science (CBIS) had its highest close in years as volume increased.  Medical Marijuana, Inc. (MJNA) traded to the highest level in almost a year and led the market in dollar volume.  Terra Tech (TRTC) rallied sharply after going effective on its S-1 filing.

CannabisSativa (CBDS), which had soared from about 1 to as high as 18 recently following the appointment of Steve Kubby as CEO, gave up ground today as volume accelerated.  Another recent high-flier, Advanced Cannabis Solutions (CANN), retraced a bit.  CannaVest (CANV) continued the theme of low-float stocks pulling back.
