BULLION GOLD COINS

Now that one of our gold bears that predicted sub 1000 gold prices seems to be asking how to buy gold bullion coins, I was reminded just how long it has been since any posts were on this subject. Even though we have had numerous posts and comments on this issue, its probably new to some readers here…..at least one in particular that claims he has followed this blog.  Most of the long term followers understand WHY you buy gold bullion coins but a couple of points are in order.

Gold paper price has NOTHING to do with the accumulation of physical gold bullion. You buy bullion as a safe haven to protect your wealth from a variety of fiat threats…….end of story. So rather than bore you with a long topic on this subject I shall save you and myself some work and just hit the highlights and basic principles. I advise you to do your own research before you accept any of these “principles”.

Gold will most likely NEVER be sold by you…… at least when it goes into its next parabolic phase. You will find that as gold goes parabolic, you will not want to sell……you will only wish you had more and try to figure out a way to get more…….gl on that. So either you accumulate it now (even if it goes down)……OR ….you will most likely never own physical gold. We’re not going into silver here because there are nuances to it that require a little more time than I have to post.

Purchasing gold is usually done at a coin shop or on-line. Premiums right now are relatively low but do vary depending upon the gold bullion coin. One of the cheapest are gold buffaloes and philharmonics. You can also buy Pamp 1 oz bullion bars cheaply and they are widely recognized. Once you begin to buy these coins for their numismatic value then you are playing a game that will mean NOTHING on the parabolic move of gold and is wasting precious fiat (at least now its precious) on “blue sky”.  Every fiat dollar you save can go to the cheaper cousin silver…….whoops….shouldn’t go there.

I won’t tell you how to buy your coins and I won’t promote my source but it online and I have mentioned it before and after around a hundred orders I have never had a problem. I keep records for tax purposes if I sell and will maintain legal possession. Bottom line YOU ARE DREAMING if you think you’ll make money on the numismatic game. Its really NOT why you buy gold. gl
