Influencer platform IZEA shares jump after boost in 3Q bookings

Marketing platform operator IZEA Worldwide Inc (NASDAQ:IZEA) saw a boost in total bookings in its third quarter as it continues to build its network of influencers.

Its platform connects marketers with content creators and social media influencers to promote their products or services.

Shares of the Florida-based company surged 32% to $2.05 in Thursday pre-market trading.

IZEA reported total bookings of $9.5 million, which is in-line with its previous guidance and a 20% jump compared with $7.9 million in the previous third quarter.

The company recently acquired Silicon Valley-based start-up TapInfluence, a software-as-a-service-based online influencer marketplace, in a $7.08 million deal.

IZEA credits the acquisition for the $1.6 million booked under its SaaS license contracts.

Third-quarter results are set to be released on November 14.

The company expects net revenue to be between $5 million to $5.25 million.
