MPX Bioceutical expands its reach in Maryland, opening a second dispensary in Baltimore

MPX Bioceutical Corporation (CSE: MPX; OTCQX: MPXEF) shares were on the rise after announcing it would be expanding its reach into the Maryland market via a new dispensary.

Shares of the Toronto-based cannabis company jumped more than 4% to US$0.69 in Friday afternoon trading.

A new Health for Life dispensary will open its doors in Baltimore, about 2 miles away from teaching hospital Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center.

MPX opened its first dispensary in Maryland in Bethesda in August.

“The array of products and services offered by the Health for Life brand makes the store more than just a medical cannabis dispensary, but rather a reliable brand that patients can go to for consistent medicine and education about the plant as it becomes mainstream,” said said Julie Winter, MPX’s  Senior Vice President of East Coast Operations, in the company’s press release.

The dispensary can accommodate a total of 100 patients, giving licensed Maryland residents access to flower, topicals, concentrates and other cannabis products.
