NexTech inks augmented reality deal with Canada’s Challenger Motor Freight to drive its recruitment efforts

NexTech AR Solutions (OTCMKTS:NEXCF) (CSE:NTAR) revealed Tuesday that it has landed a deal with Challenger Motor Freight Inc, one of Canada’s biggest privately-owned transport and logistics companies, to create immersive augmented reality (AR) recruitment experiences.

In a statement, Toronto-based NexTech, which is a first-mover in the explosive augmented reality space with its ARitize technology, said the company would create heightened augmented reality recruitment experiences to boost Challenger Motor Freight’s recruitment efforts.

Challenger currently operates a fleet of over 1,500 trucks, 3,300 trailers and has over 2,000 employees.

In its statement, NexTech said that through the use of hologram brand ambassadors and AR technology, Challenger is looking to give new prospective drivers “a truly personal tour” on their journey to becoming Challenger employees.

“We’re excited that through our ARitize platform we’re able to create value for such a large and well-respected company as Challenger, showcasing how augmented reality can enhance recruitment and new employee engagement,” said NexTech CEO Evan Gappelberg in a statement.

“Our ARitize platform is a powerful tool which allows brands to curate an immersive, branded experience where they can sell, teach, communicate and share their product, service or experience through Augmented Reality accessible on a device all consumers use regularly — their mobile phone.”

NexTech is one of the leaders in the rapidly growing augmented reality industry, estimated to hit $120 billion by 2022, according to Statista.

The company has an exclusive license to a portfolio of patents related to interactive gaming, interactive advertising, and augmented reality technology. NexTech is currently pursuing three multibillion-dollar verticals in the AR industry, in areas that it sees incredible revenue potential for ARitize.
