Cabral Gold reports new drill results from recently identified gold vein on its Cuiú Cuiú project in Brazil

Cabral Gold Inc (CVE:CBR) (OTCPINK:CBGZF) (FRA:C3J) reported new drill results showing good gold grades from two prospective areas on its flagship Cuiú Cuiú project in northern Brazil. 

The company said that drilling at the Hamilton Novo target south of the Machichie zone returned 3 metres (m) at 13.2 grams per ton (g/t) gold, including 1m at 36.7 g/t gold. 

Hamilton Novo is one of six recently identified veins that run between the MG gold deposit and the new Machichie zone, where recent drilling returned 34m at 5.4 g/t gold.

Vancouver-based Cabral also revealed results from infill drilling at the MG deposit around 300m south of Hamilton Novo that showed intervals of low-grade gold mineralization, including 14m at 1.1 g/t gold.

Cabral is currently defining the limits of the high-grade zones within the existing MG and Central deposits at Cuiú Cuiú.

“The initial RC drill results from the Hamilton Novo vein structure suggest the continuity of high-grade mineralization, both at depth and along strike,” Cabral CEO Alan Carter said in a statement.

“The additional results from MG could be a game changer and continue to demonstrate that the MG deposit is covered by an extensive low-grade oxide gold blanket, which was not previously included in the historic 2018 resource estimate, and could add significant ounces to the MG resource.”

Cabral also told investors that it is awaiting results on several RC holes at the JM and JN targets, neither of which have been previously tested.

“The drill program at JN was abandoned due to excessive water flows, which meant that none of the holes reached the projected target depth and hence were unable to test the down-dip extent of the high-grade vein structure on surface which returned 5.3 metres at 24 g/t gold,” Cabral told shareholders. “The JN target will instead be tested via diamond drilling in the coming months.”

The company is now drilling at the Morro da Lua target where a single drill hole completed during 2019 intersected several high-grade vein structures, including 2.8m at 19.5 g/t gold, 0.5m at 9.1 g/t and 0.6m at 14.8 g/t gold.
