GGX Gold Corp posts "significant results" from drilling at Perky vein, Gold Drop property

GGX Gold Corp (CVE:GGX) (OTCQB:GGXXF) (FRA:3SR2) has announced results for the remaining drill holes from its 2020 exploration program at the Gold Drop property in British Columbia, including “significant” assays from the Perky vein. 

Perky is a parallel vein sitting 200 meters (m) west of the much explored COD vein at the project.

Highlight results from Perky included 119.5 grams per ton (g/t) gold over an interval of 0.45m from 1.85m depth. 

Another assay showed 81.4 g/t of the yellow metal over 0.61m starting from 2.26m depth, the company said in a statement.

In Wednesday’s statement, GGX said further drilling was now being planned to further explore the Perky vein and to test the Lively vein, which was also a new discovery in 2020.

Last month, GGX unveiled more drill results from last year’s work at the COD vein.

A highlight from six holes was one that hit 9.14 g/t gold over 0.4m from a depth of 18.03m, which was testing the northern edge of an area high-grade mineralization identified in 2018. 

The same hole also encountered 9.66 g/t of gold over 0.5m (from 20.24m depth) and 3.34 g/t of the precious metal over 1.09m, from 21.40m depth. GGX had said this hole had hit a “large, mineralized quartz vein,” which was 5.3m thick.

Gold Drop was mined intermittently from 1919 to the 1980s. Historical production amounted to 7,572 tonnes at an average grade of 5.2 g/t of gold and 93.4 g/t of silver, with the majority of production coming before 1942.
