Bam Bam Resources encouraged by potential for large sulfide copper deposit from latest drill assays

Bam Bam Resources Corp (CSE:BBR) (OTCPINK:NPEZF) (FRA:4NPB) has reported encouraging drill results from its flagship Majuba Hill project in Nevada, US, which show the potential for a large sulfide copper deposit below the known oxide mineralization. 

The assays come from three core holes drilled at the asset in Pershing county, one of which stepped out 1,700 feet (518 meters) south from the oxide/enrichment zone to test a deep Induced Polarization (IP) chargeability high.

That hole, which went 498.4 metres (m) deep, included an intercept of 19.8m of 0.35% copper and 13.9 grams per ton (g/t) silver from 263.7m to 283.5m depth.

It also hit 143.2m of 0.1% copper and 4.04 g/t silver from 253 to 396.2m downhole.

“It is extremely exciting to get drill results showing the thick zones of porphyry copper mineralization in the deep sulfide zone that further indicates the potential for a large sulfide copper deposit below the known oxide,” said Bam Bam CEO David Greenway. 

“The advancement and identification of the outcropping, supergene copper enrichment zones in the oxide mineralization points out why Majuba Hill will be an important copper district for many years.

“I am looking forward to the completion of our first compliant resource calculation. It’s going to be exciting to take all of Bam Bam’s drill data as well as the historic drill data and apply this data against the results of the Deep Induced Polarization Survey being undertaken, as well as the results of our Drone Magnetic Survey.”

A resource estimate for the large copper oxide and enrichment zone in the upper part of the Majuba porphyry system is currently in progress.

Other drill assays reported today included, in another hole, 0.31% copper and 1.90 g/t silver in an intercept of 10.4m from 297.7m depth.

The company’s Majuba Hill project spans around 15.1 square miles (39.2 square kilometres) and comprises extensive mineral and surface rights.

Between 1907 and 1960, Majuba Hill produced 2.8 million pounds of copper, 184,000 ounces of silver, over 885,000 pounds of lead and 5,800 ounces of lode gold.
