First Derivatives to report tomorrow

In the UK, Cerillion PLC (LON:CER) reported its interim results ending March today, while First Derivatives reports its final results, ending February, tomorrow. Also, Blue Prism Group PLC (LON:PRSM) is holding its Blue Prism World virtual conference this week, beginning tomorrow.

First Derivatives PLC (LON:FDP), the global technology provider, announces its final results tomorrow.  In its trading update in mid-April, it said that it traded in line with market expectations in the year just ended, generating revenue of £238mln and adjusted underlying earnings (EBITDA) of £40mln. Net debt at the period end was £10mln, which is better than analyst forecasts and down from the group’s net debt of £49mln a year ago. The improvement in net debt is primarily driven by strong operating cash conversion, supplemented by the partial sale of the investment in Quantile Technologies for cash consideration of £11mln. The group has seen some management changes recently, with Ryan Preston promoted to chief financial officer, Scott Matthews appointed chief executive officer for MRP, the group’s predictive intelligence business and Eric Raab appointed chief technology officer for KX, the group’s analytics software business.

Across the pond, it is quiet on the corporate earnings side, with some companies with quarterly period ends ending April, with Cisco the highlight, reporting its third quarter numbers on Wednesday. Among the tech-related companies expected to report include Youdao, Analog Devices, Baidu, Baozun, Kingsoft Cloud, Cisco Systems, Synopsys, Keysight Technologies, Applied Materials and Palo Alto Networks.
