Renforth Resources releases last hole of 2020 Parbec drilling results; updates on Malartic West and Nixon-Bartleman projects

Renforth Resources Inc (CSE:RFR) (OTCPINK:RFHRF) (FRA:9RR) has reported the results of the last hole from its 2020 drilling at the Parbec open pit gold deposit in Quebec, which again showed continuity of mineralization there. 

In the statement, the Quebec-focused explorer also revealed it was planning a maiden drill program on its wholly-owned Malartic West property, where a copper and silver surface discovery has been traced over around 175 metres (m), and also started first compilation work on Nixon-Bartleman, its wholly-owned gold property in Ontario, west of Timmins.

The drill program at Parbec was designed to fill in gaps within the existing deposit model, to test for the downdip extension of mineralized zones and to twin holes drilled between 1986 and 1993. This was to allow assays from those 62 holes to be used in a 2021 resource estimate, which is expected to be completed in June or July this year.

Highlight intercepts from the last hole of 2020 included a length of 6m starting from a depth of 115m, which showed 1 gram per tonne (g/t) gold.

Also found was 7.08 g/t of the yellow metal in a length of 2.6m, starting at 131.4m depth.

With this, Renforth said it had now disclosed all of the results from the initial sampling of 2020 drill core. Outstanding from 2020 now is any sampling done in Q1, 2021 to constrain results previously announced.

Renforth’s Parbec project has a 2020 resource estimate of 104,000 indicated ounces of gold at a grade of 1.78 g/t gold and 177,000 inferred ounces at 1.78 g/t gold.

This estimate is now considered by Renforth to be out of date due to the results received in a 15,569m drill program, which has been recently completed.

Meanwhile, at Nixon-Bartleman, Renforth noted it had last worked there in 2014 when prospecting extended the surface gold showing to more than 500m in length. Channel sampling also showed 22.1 g/t gold over 0.3m.

The new compilation work will correlate historic campaigns, which have included prospecting, geochemical sampling and drilling, for the first time, it said.
