Vuzix to demo its Smart Glasses for Mandarin-speaking listeners with Softfoundry's FacePro Xpert System and Porsche China

Vuzix Corporation (NASDAQ:VUZI) announced plans for an upcoming demo of its Vuzix M400 and M4000 Smart Glasses specifically for Mandarin-speaking listeners, featuring an AR-capable remote mentoring program from Softfoundry International Pte Ltd.

Softfoundry’s FacePro Xpert System provides real-time remote global expert support, training and resource sharing through first-person Full-HD to 4K video communication, utilizing both the Vuzix M400 and M4000 Smart Glasses platforms. FacePro has been deployed across a variety of verticals including automotive, rail transit, energy, petrochemical, maritime, aviation, agriculture, telemedicine and telecommunications, the company said.

One of the customers that has adopted the FacePro Xpert System using Vuzix Smart Glasses for remote technical support is Porsche China. With FacePro Xpert System, Porsche China’s technical experts no longer have to travel, resulting in reduced costs and shorter waiting times for after-sales service, which has helped improve customer satisfaction.

“The Vuzix M400 and M4000 Smart Glasses compliment FacePro Xpert System perfectly,” Softfoundry co-founder Joni Kuo said in a statement. “The portability and high performance of Vuzix’ Smart Glasses make them best-in-class and well-liked by our customers.”

Vuzix, Softfoundry and Porsche China will be hosting the Mandarin-based webinar to demonstrate the FacePro Xpert System featuring Vuzix Smart Glasses at 9pm ET (9 am China Standard Time) on May 26. Interested parties can register here. The FacePro remote support application, supporting 14 different languages, is now available for download in Vuzix’s app store.
