GGX Gold begins diamond drilling at its Gold Drop property in British Columbia

GGX Gold Corp (CVE:GGX) (OTCQB:GGXXF) (FRA:3SR2) announced the start of a diamond drill program at its 100% owned Gold Drop property in the Greenwood Mining Camp of British Columbia.

The company said the primary focus of the expected 2,500-meter program is to further delineate the Perky vein, where five to six drill holes are planned.

“We are excited about the upcoming drilling program and the continued delineation of the Perky vein which yielded high grade intercepts in 2020,” GGX Gold CEO Barry Brown said in a statement.

“With the addition of the nearby COD vein, the property exhibits excellent high-grade gold and tellurium potential,” Brown added.

GGX Gold also noted that four or five drill holes are planned for the Lively vein, which was successfully trenched at surface in 2020, and two or three drill holes are expected to target the COD North northern extension vein.  

In addition, the company said it anticipates sinking several drill holes targeting the Ken and Highland Valley veins.

It added that as the field season progresses, GGX Gold’s technical staff may modify the diamond drilling program as needed.

Gold Drop was mined intermittently from 1919 to the 1980s. Historical production amounted to 7,572 tonnes at an average grade of 5.2 grams per tonne (g/t) of gold and 93.4 g/t of silver, with the majority of production coming before 1942.
