Is It Lack of Accountants and Lawyers?

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

President Joe Biden said this yesterday.

Joe is obviously incorrect. There are plenty of accountants and lawyers that would eagerly work with black entrepreneurs. But, it’s not accountants or lawyers that make entrepreneurs successful. Unless of course, they are crony capitalists. I don’t think Steve Jobs or Bill Gates or Mark Zuckerberg credited their success to having access to accountants or entrepreneurs.

Our President is dim. He is the only President in my lifetime that actually isn’t smart and that extends to his Vice President as well.

Here is the thing. If you want to be successful in entrepreneurship never ever play the victim card. It’s a sign of weakness. It’s a sign that when the going gets tough, and it most certainly will, you will likely fold.

I agree with President Biden on his first statement. There are plenty of great people of all colors, sex, gender or how ever you want to categorize them that can be successful entrepreneurs. All they need is access to a network and access to some capital.

After that, they need all the personal qualities that every great entrepreneur had. Grit, determination, confidence in yourself, sales skills, and the ability to listen to customers and give them a product that is useful for them. Plenty of blogposts are out there talking about the qualities that it takes. They key is to just do it.

Don’t look to others to motivate you. Don’t look for validation from others. Be willing to be singular against the crowd. Don’t, and I said this above, don’t be a victim.

Being an entrepreneur and starting a business, even a small cash flow business, is the toughest thing you can attempt when it comes to trying to make a living for yourself. But, it’s probably the most rewarding.
