Psyence Group says shares to start trading today on the OTCQB Venture Market in the US

Psyence Group Inc has announced that its shares will start trading on the OTCQB Venture Market exchange in the US starting October 13, 2021, under the symbol PSYGF.

In addition, the Toronto-based firm said it has applied for Depository Trust Company (DTC) eligibility to simplify the trading process in the US.

“We are incredibly excited with this milestone in our company’s trajectory,” Psyence CEO Neil Maresky said in a statement.

Maresky told investors that trading on OTCQB is a “critical step” in engaging investors in the US in addition to Canada and increasing the visibility of the company’s profile more broadly.

“Psyence is rapidly being recognized as a global leader in the production of natural psilocybin, and as we embark on addressing the incredible mental health challenges of palliative care and other indications,” he added. “This new listing provides enhanced visibility to a new emerging investor pool.”

Psyence is a Canadian life science biotechnology company that operates one of the world’s first federally licensed commercial psilocybin mushroom cultivation and production facilities.

The firm has four key divisions (Psyence Production, Psyence Therapeutics, Psyence Function, and Psyence Experience) with operations in Canada, the US, UK, Jamaica, South Africa, and Australia.
