Talon Metals appoints mining investment executives Arne Frandsen and Frank Wheatley to its board of directors

Talon Metals Corp has announced the appointments of Pallinghurst Group managing partner Arne Frandsen and Wheatley Advisors CEO Frank Wheatley to its board of directors, effective immediately.

Wheatley and Frandsen have joined the company’s board following Pallinghurst’s purchase of 133,610,894 Talon shares from Resource Capital Fund VI LP (RCF) in an off-market transaction.

“Arne’s and Frank’s experience in developing mining projects through to production, as well as their experience in the battery materials sector, are timely additions to our Board, as the US electric vehicle (EV) battery supply chain is ramping-up and we continue to progress the Tamarack Nickel Project in Minnesota to supply responsibly produced nickel to the growing US EV battery manufacturing base,” Talon Metals CEO Henri van Rooyen said in a statement.

The company noted that Pallinghurst and RCF now each own about 19.2% of Talon’s shares.

“We are pleased that we have been able to achieve a significant position in an exciting critical minerals company with a strong management team and smart strategy to develop one of the world’s highest grade nickel deposits in the fast-growing US market for electric vehicles and battery storage,” Frandsen added.

Talon Metals is advancing the giant Tamarack nickel project in Minnesota, to potentially supply the rapidly growing EV battery materials market.

The company is one of the only undeveloped nickel projects in the US and could be one of the only options for nickel if EV raw materials are going to be sourced domestically.
