The timing of the Star Wars releases over the years is such that when I was a kid, my parents took me to see the first ones when they came out. And now that my daughter is a tween, we also get to enjoy watching new episodes from the most popular sci-fi franchise in history. And I love how a slew of the toughest and coolest (not to mention main) characters in the latest releases are women. It makes me happy to think that my daughter gets to see a young lady as the powerful heroine of the series. It seems to have worked out perfectly for me, timing-wise. Speaking of perfect timing, Chronicle Books have teamed up with LucasFilm Ltd to release this official Star Wars: Women of the Galaxy 100 Postcards box set. It features 100 postcards with great illustrations of characters from across the fictional universe, including Leia Organa, Rey, & Phasma. The cards measure 4 3/8 x 6 1/4 inches.
